Introduction

We’re looking for a talented Motion Designer with at least 5 years of experience creating engaging animations and dynamic visual content for digital products, interfaces, and experiences.

The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of motion design principles, visual storytelling, and interface behavior. You should be comfortable working with product designers, UI developers, and marketing teams to translate static designs into animated assets that enhance usability and user delight.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Motion Designer will work closely with product teams, UX designers, and engineers to define and implement animation across our platform. This includes microinteractions, UI transitions, explainer videos, onboarding flows, and other motion-enhanced experiences.

• Create intuitive motion designs that enhance user flows, support product goals, and adhere to accessibility standards

• Design and deliver animated assets (SVGs, Lottie, GIFs, videos) for digital products, interfaces, and communications

• Develop UI motion patterns that support usability, reinforce design consistency, and guide user behavior

• Collaborate with product designers and developers to define transitions, loading sequences, feedback animations, and other dynamic states

• Produce concept storyboards, prototypes, and motion studies to communicate ideas early in the design process

• Optimize animations for performance and responsiveness across platforms and devices

• Advocate for motion as a core part of the user experience and contribute to evolving design guidelines to include animation standards

• Present ideas and rationale to stakeholders through clear, compelling visual narratives

Technical and Professional Experience

• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing motion for digital interfaces and products

• Proficiency with tools like After Effects, Figma (Smart Animate), Adobe Animate, and Lottie

• Experience creating motion specs and collaborating with engineers on implementation

• Familiarity with motion frameworks and handoff tools such as Bodymovin, Rive, or LottieFiles

• Knowledge of responsive animation techniques and best practices for performance

• Comfort with prototyping tools such as Principle, ProtoPie, or Framer

Tools and Methodologies

• Motion & Animation Tools: After Effects, Lottie, Rive, Bodymovin, Adobe Animate

• Prototyping & Design: Figma, Principle, Framer, ProtoPie

• Collaboration: Slack, Zoom, Notion, Git-based handoff workflows

• Design Systems: Experience contributing motion specs to evolving UI libraries

• File Handoff: Experience working with developers to ensure smooth motion implementation

Work Location & Flexibility

This is a fully remote role based in India, with the expectation to work aligned to U.S. client hours. Candidates must have a dedicated personal workspace and a reliable internet connection to ensure effective collaboration with distributed teams.

Compensation

This is a contract-based role, with compensation structured according to the actual hours worked and aligned with your experience and skillset. While the role follows U.S. client hours, observed holidays will follow the Indian bank holiday calendar.
